If you live in Croatia and are a fan of craft beer, you’d have to be crazy to miss the Beeryard 2 festival on Saturday.22 craft breweries from Croatia, 4 from Spain and 1 from Estonia will be pouring their beers, including some beers made especially for the festival. For some of these breweries, it will be your first chance to sample their beers!
These are the Croatian craft breweries who will be pouring their beers:
5th element, Bad Brewery, Beckers brewery, Bošnjak, Bura brew, Crafters, Dubrovačka pivovara, Garden brewery, Križevačka, LAB, Medvedgrad, Mlinarica, Nova runda, Pivionica, Positive brewery, Pulfer, Slawoner, Valens, Varionica, Varoška pivovara, Zeppelin brewery, Zmajska pivovara.
And these are the foreign craft breweries who will be pouring their beers:
Balate brewery (Spain), Gar Gar brewery (Spain), Laugar brewery (Spain), Marina brewery (Spain), Sori brewing company (Estonia).

This year there are some additional beer related events tied into the festival that are spread around Zagreb. There are four Meet the Brewer events where you can meet the brewers, sample their beers and chat with them. These kinds of events are great for gaining some insight into their beers.
The co founder of Gar&Gar Donostia will at Fakin Craft Bar on Thursday the 31st of August from 6PM to 8PM pouring his beers and taking your questions. Directly after that, Positive Brewery, a brand new brewery in Zagreb will be pouring their new NEIPA in their first public appearance.
The next day, Friday the 1st of September, sees three Meet the Brewer events. At 5PM in Craft Room you can meet the fine folks from Marina Cervesa Artesana Blanes and sample their beer. After that at 7PM at ALL IN you can meet Pyry from Sori Brewing , a great little brewery from Estonia. And finally, at 9PM at Hop In Craft Beer Bar you can sample beers from Laugar Brewery and chat with them about how they do what they do.
There will be three food vendors at the festival as well. At these kinds of events, it’s always a good idea to load up on the food, the better to soak up that beer so you’re in good shape come Sunday. These food vendors will be serving up tasty dishes for you:

Music is a big part of this festival as well and the following four independent bands will be performing for you, starting at 7PM:

There will be 10 new, exclusive beers on offer at the festival, so no matter how widely you have drank, you will find something new and exciting to try.
Rounding out the festival, our good friends from Craft Room, Hop In Craft Beer Bar and ALL IN will be pouring some beers that have previously not been poured in Croatia.
Doors open at 13:00.
Festival location is the big yard of the music club Močvara in Zagreb.
